The Voter Registration Picnic served hundreds at Farview Park in North Minneapolis sponsored by Pastor Paul's Disciples Ministry Church Mission. The free picnic served hot food such as BBQ sandwiches, baked beans, and corn on the cob, potato chips, candy and orange soda. Pony rides kept kids entertained while Mom and Dad learned how to use the new Voting Booths. One dozen booths were provided by the Secretary of State's Office for the event. Many political guests were invited. Skip Humphrey was the only political attendee.
